April 6th 2026 had some big news for diabetes care.
The FDA approved a generic SGLT2.
We already have ordered it, have it in inventory and are getting it to some of our diabetes patients.
SGLT2 meds are useful to help control blood sugars and help patients lose weight. Maybe just as important they have been shown to help reduce hospitalization from heart failure and lower the risk of kidney disease progression.
Historically, these meds ran $300 to $1000 a month on a cash pay basis. With our first order we are be able to get a 1 month supply of meds into the hands of our members for about $7 a month.
